Dear Judy,
As Ann and I retire to Oak Island, North Carolina, I want to thank you for all you have done for us since we first met in Raleigh in 1988. You had really done your homework after talking to us on the phone. Though the house we bought and loved was the second house you showed us, that was only because there was another house you thought we ought to see on the way. Your instincts were on the mark as we made an offer on your first choice that day.
You also went the second and third mile when we moved to Mississippi. I was already on the job while Ann stayed behind a few months so our boys could finish school. Then two weeks before they were to join me, Ann had breast cancer surgery. You knew exactly what to do to sell our house soon thereafter without having to make the long trip back to Raleigh.
We are most grateful, however, for you hard work in helping us buy our property on Oak Island. We thoroughly enjoyed touring homes with you because you noticed details we overlooked and envisioned possibilities beyond our imaginations. When we decided to buy a lot and build instead, your research and negotiating skills resulted in a substantial savings. Having spent vacations for the past three years in our home, we are convinced we have the best lot on Oak Island and look forward to many years of happy retirement in it.
We hope our paths cross many times in the years to come. You are a remarkable realtor and a cherished friend as well.

Dear Judy,
We are so grateful for your good advice and extra effort in coordinating the sale of our residence with our building a retirement home in another part of the country.
It became complicated. You had listed our residence and, immediately, there was active buyer interest. but our retirement home burned to the ground shortly before completion and we were about to be “homeless”. You took care of pulling our residence from the market so we could deal with issues at the other end-fire inspectors, insurance, contractors, loan arrangements, and the like. When our second retirement home neared completion, you again listed our residence. A full-price offer came in immediately and you very successfully coordinated the closing date with completion of our new home.
It couldn’t have worked out better. We’ve bought and sold homes in the Midwest, the west coast, and the east coast. This last could have been the most frustrating, but it was the least of our worries, thanks to you. “Ya done good!” And we are most appreciative.
